The role of an Identity & Purpose Coach is clear, to help people discover who they are and discern their God-given calling. What’s Included
Identity & Purpose Coach Training includes sixteen live lesson videos that walk you through the full Catholic coaching framework, along with a certificate of completion once you finish the program. You’ll also receive the full Group Study Facilitator Materials for our IGNITE (12-weeks) and BECOME (9-weeks) series, our two programs to help others discover and activate their Identity & Purpose in Christ. Participants also gain access to ongoing group coaching and strategy calls, a six-month trial inside the Catholic Coach Academy for additional coaching support, and workshop training on temperaments and discovering identity and purpose. Finally, if you decide to continue your formation, you can apply the full cost of your Identity & Purpose Coach Training toward a future Catholic Mindset Coach Certification (our advanced Catholic coach training for professionals) cohort within one year.
The Modules
Module 1: How to Master Coaching Essentials
This 4-lesson module covers foundational concepts and essential skills for leading others as a coach. With time to practice what you learn in each session, you’ll get the chance for immediate application to build solid habits as a coach.
Module 2: How to Integrate Prayer in Coaching
This 2-lesson module teaches you how to bring discernment and prayer into your coaching as you help others discern their unique mission in Christ.
Module 3: How to Draw Mission Insights from Temperaments & APEST Assessments
This 2-lesson module teaches you how to unlock easy mission insights through two assessments: Temperaments and APEST. These lessons begin your training to deliver our Ignite program, and also show you how to turn each lesson into an introductory workshop to connect with new clients.
Module 4: How to Uncover Key Personal Insights for the Mission Formula
This 4-lesson module continues your training to deliver the Ignite program, helping you master the material and practice your coaching skills from Module 1.
Module 5: How to Take Action With the Mission Formula
This 3-lesson module completes your training to deliver the Ignite program, showing you how to help others name and activate their mission in Christ.
Module 6: How to Launch Your First Group Study as a Identity & Purpose Coach
This final module gives you practical steps for organizing and launching your first Ignite Group Study so you can start helping people discover and activate their unique mission!

We want to help you reach more people, so your training also includes six months of access to Catholic Coach Academy, an ongoing formation and support community for Catholic coaches. Inside the Academy, you’ll continue developing your coaching skills through additional training, resources, and live coaching opportunities while staying connected with a community of others serving in ministry through coaching.
This extended access helps you grow in confidence, sharpen your coaching skills, and continue accompanying others well beyond the initial Identity & Purpose Coach Training.

What is the Identity & Purpose Coach Training?
The Identity & Purpose Coach Training is a live, guided program designed to equip you with the skills and framework to accompany others in discovering and living their God-given Identity & Purpose. You’ll learn how to coach, pray with, and lead others to clarity—starting with your own Identity & Purpose.
How is this different from other coaching programs?
Most coaching programs focus on personal development or professional growth. Identity & Purpose Coach Training is different. It’s a Catholic, prayer-driven, and practical formation program that teaches you how to help others discern their unique Identity & Purpose, and live it. It’s about identity, mission, and real transformation.
Do I need to be a professional coach to join?
Nope. This training is designed for leaders, mentors, ministry professionals, parents, or anyone who wants to accompany others in discovering their God-given Identity & Purpose. You don’t need coaching experience, just a desire to help people live fully alive.
How much time will this training take?
The Identity & Purpose Coach training is designed to deliver what you need in the 90-minute sessions with little work outside of class times.
Our coaches tend to budget an additional 30-60 minutes each week to occasional assignments or attending optional group coaching sessions.
What are the requirements for completing IPC Training?
To complete your training as an Identity & Purpose Coach, all you need to do is show up to class, engage in the live exercises, and complete any lesson quizzes.
Attendance at live sessions is required to receive your certificate of completion, and all participants must acknowledge and adhere to the course attendance policy.
