We are on part 4 of a 6-part series on the Art of Managing Your Emotions: Hope and Despair.

Hope is not always good, and despair is not always bad. At Metanoia Catholic, we learn to take our emotions and see them through the light of reason.

Despair is a negative feeling from believing that the good is not unattainable. Ex: “I will never get married because there are no good Catholic men left.” The perceived good is marriage in this example. The perceived obstacle is that there aren’t “good Catholic men.”

In this episode, we break down our thoughts of despair (and hope) to see them more fully aligned with truth.
